Being active as a parent has many ups and downs! One of the hardest struggles seems to be finding a 30-60 minute window when you are not needed and can focus on yourself – building your strength and stamina up. The good news is that research has shown that just 10 minutes of short high intensity training can have a positive impact on your muscle oxygen update and cardiovascular health (Gillen et al, 2014).
Our Parent FIT workout programs was created by husband & wife duo, Luke & Carly Daley. They both have fitness qualifications and are parents to 2 young hurricanes. The app has gone through 12 months of trials with many parents and the feedback has been very positive with parents finding the shorter, at home workouts more achievable compared to going to a gym for 30-60 minutes (which rarely happens).
Some workouts use equipment (dumbbells, TRX, kettlebells, resistance bands etc) all of which are available at an affordable price in sports shops or at Kmart (Australia).
